11th WEEK OF PREGNANCY

Congratulations! Your baby is now on its human appearance. His hands and feet have individual fingers and toes and not like buds anymore. Approximately, your baby weighs seven grams this week and about 1 ½ to 2 inches long. His blood vessels are still evident within this week given that the baby’s skin is still see-through. His bones begin to solidify and the teeth are starting to come out from the baby’s gums. Since his muscles are already formed during the 10th week, now he can move freely like dancing in a room full of space; busy stretching and kicking.  For the reason that his body is now becoming more well-designed and developed, these movements will be more recurrent but you won’t still feel it until the next month. Even his diaphragm now is forming too. Furthermore, this week is considered mainly the quickest and rapid stage of the baby’s development.

At this period, you will feel more comfortable for this morning sickness of yours starts to fade away plus you will see the improvement into your first trimester signs and symptoms. The energy in your body fills you up, and those fatigue and stress loosens up. You still don’t look like a pregnant lady though but after a couple of weeks, your uterus starts to let the people know that you are pregnant. Since 11th week started, you will feel some gain on your weight probably on the breasts to compensate with the milk production. But some mothers gain on their hips, buttocks or belly. So help yourself to have a healthy life by eating a fit diet, exercise to maintain in a good shape and avoid those vices that can cause death of the baby.

Do you know Kegal exercise? This is important! This is also called Pelvic floor exercise. Having weak kegal muscles can add to throbbing pain throughout the whole delivery stage. Labor can wane your pelvic muscles and cause uneasiness afterwards. That is why this exercise is used to strengthen the pelvic muscle of your body. Speaking of vices, remember to avoid drinking alcohol (very important thing to bear in mind). It can lead to your baby’s deformities, problems or abnormalities during pregnancy and sometimes you will see it after the baby is delivered. So it is a big NO!  Next is smoking, it won’t harm not only the baby but also your health condition. It will lead to gum problems, bleeding, cancer, and a lot more. For your food, please do separate the raw/uncooked meat from other foods. Before eating fruits and vegetables, wash it meticulously because you won’t know if there are still microorganisms there.
