19th week of pregnancy

This will be an exciting week for you, because your precious little one has grown big, VERY BIG! Your baby is now a  whopping 8 ounces and 9.5 inches, from head to toe. Unlike the measurements taken before, now is a bit different. Results might be a bit confusing, but it’s standard procedure to measure the fetus from its head down to its toes on the second half of pregnancy. Incredibly, your baby is undergoing a major development this week. His kidneys are starting to produce urine, hair starting to grow a bit. Some parts of his brain are starting to develop more, specifically where senses are responsible.

If your having a girl, she has probably has almost 5 million eggs developed in her ovaries. You can now hear your baby’s heartbeat using a stethoscope placed in your abdomen. This week your little one will start to consume the extremely yummy diet of amniotic fluid and baby wee. This is now possible because they are now capable of swallowing and pass through fluids up to their tiny “large” intestines. He will slowly produce more of his waste, but worry not for this waste by-products won’t be coming out until he is born. And after some time, after your baby is born, this lump, scientifically known as “meconium” will start to be your responsibility for a long time.

Gaining more weight? Don’t even try to lose any of that excess weight during pregnancy as it is needed for certain parts of your body to function normally. During pregnancy, most of the weight you gain comes from your growing baby, about 6 to 7pounds. Some fats are needed to support your baby, about 5 to 7 pounds are gained during pregnancy. Other extra weight goes to particular areas like breasts, placenta, amniotic fluid. Increased blood volume and other fluids also contribute to your sudden weight gain. You need this as you baby develops, and there is nothing to worry about as this weight will gradually decrease after you give birth.

Choosing what clothes to use during pregnancy, how to stay fit, handling certain situations...chances are you are probably looking for other pregnant women particularly those who are celebrities. A lot of pregnant women are fascinated for pregnant celebrities to seek for fashion, lifestyle and many more. Most popular question that strikes your mind while looking at you favorite celebrity on the magazine after giving birth is “how did she got her body back”? losing that extra pounds can be really hard. Some are just blessed with that perfect slender shape even after giving birth. Celebrities sometimes talks about how hard they fought to lose post-pregnancy weight. Proper exercise, diet and healthy lifestyle will be your key on having your slender body back. Even after giving birth you should not quickly engage on stressful activities, losing that extra weight will be a slow step-by-step process. Just keep in mind that keeping your baby-to-be safe and secure will be your ultimate goal for the next 20 weeks to come.
