8th Week of Pregnancy

By now, I think you have visited your health care provider and had some recommendations and advise about the do's and dont's in pregnancy. Good way to do is to choose a professional physician to guide you from the first trimester up to the third trimester because they are the ones who will guide you through your way from start to finish. Some will just give you few advise and leave you with nothing but just wasted your money instead of giving you a lot of knowledge on how to take care both you and your coming baby. So from this point, select the best health care provider! He or she must discuss your General health status, medical history, usage of contraceptives, medications, or herbs, Genetic diseases in the family, and the drugs you are allergic with.

When you're not yet yet pregnant, I guess you haven't seen the white, pale line that starts from your belly button down to the edge of your symphysis pubis, this line is called linea alba. When you have conceived and pregnancy starts, this pale line will darken and it will become visible. This line is caused by hyperpigmentation caused by increase level of progesterone and estrogen. If you're really bothered with this line, all you have to do is avoid the harmful rays of the sun and don't use bleaching agents, take Folic acid to lessen the skin pigmentation, or just simply cover it with concealer.

The baby inside your womb is approximately about 8-11 mm, and he/she grew above ½ inch longer, a bit bigger than a tiny grape. At this week, the baby's genitals will be their ovaries or testes that will serve as their reproductive organ. His face gets more detailed and precise, His 10 cute tiny toes and fingers are developed, His nose starts to project outward, the upper lip begins to have it's shape, and the beating of the heart gets stronger and quickly around 150 beats per minute, like it's in for a race.

Since you're in the climax of stress and fatigue of being a mother at this trimester, all you have to do is enjoy your husband's company. Both of you should go to your health care provider, at the time of your scheduled date for prenatal check-up. Considering you are a couple, you two should understand one another and be united. Even the baby is not in the outside world yet,he knows that his parents are taking the risks for you to be born with love and care. Tell everyone that you're becoming a future mother and let them suggest what are the things to do and what should be avoided for you to become a successful, nurturing parent.
