4th Week of Pregnancy

In this week of your pregnancy, the becoming baby in your womb is still considered a very small ball at this point, and it measures approximately .078 inches in length. At this moment of time, you will start to experience the what we call “early pregnancy symptoms” like frequent headache, breast tenderness, persistent backache and other early symptoms of pregnancy. Every women should know that a lot of these signs and symptoms are very similar to the days you've been experiencing before you start you're period. There also times that some of the pregnant women doesn't exhibit any of these symptoms except of having an irregular period or late menses. So if you're having these late period of yours, one important thing to do is to buy a Pregnancy Test kit and examine your urine if the result will become POSITIVE because this is considered the earliest detection to know if you are really pregnant. Then you should test it again after a week.

In this period of time, the placenta is starting to develop and produces the nourishment to the fetus as well as the important hormones that the baby needs in order to grow healthy. Here, the movement of blood from the main vessels to the circulation starts with a basic or fundamental movement. The baby receives oxygen as well as the his or her different important needs in order to grow and live inside the mother's womb. Now, what is happening in your baby right now? There are three main layers to your baby that will form the main system in it's body; the tissues as well as the organs. These three layers are ectoderm, mesoderm, and endoderm. Each of these layers has their own primary function.

Ectoderm will serve as the baby's Nervous Stem and this involves the brain, integumentary system (skin), hair, nails, sweat glands, mammary glands, and the covering of the tooth that makes it shiny and strong. Mesoderm if the most important layer of the baby, because it will be the baby's heart (circulatory system), muscles, and blood vessels. This includes the sex organs, kidneys, bladder and everything that concerns the urogenital system. The last layer is endoderm that serves as the covering of the lungs and will develop the linings of the liver, gastrointestinal tract, thyroid, and same with the pancreas. Together with these, are also the development of the legs and arms but isn't detectable yet.
