2nd Week of Pregnancy

When a sperm and a fertilized egg unites, then comes pregnancy. And when a zygote forms, all we have to do is accept the truth that we are pregnant and will soon become a mother who has to take care and guide their coming child. Second week of pregnancy is same as the first week so as a pregnant mother, you should always have in mind that you have to know all the resources needed and avoid foods that should not be eaten. And this would be the last week that your body will be only your body, because at this time, you will have the start of a new life inside of you . Signs and Symptoms during the second week of pregnancy is same with the first week.

It usually occurs after 10-14 days after ovulation ( the process in a woman's menstrual cycle which her mature ovarian follicle ruptures and releases an   ovum) this include cramping, a large amount of vaginal discharge; increased than the usual, an increase in body temperature that falls about .6 degrees, manifested by fatigue, a metallic taste in the mouth, nausea and vomiting, tenderness of breasts, frequent urination, and lastly a missed period. Right now, even though the mother's placenta is just starting to be built, much less equipped, enhanced, and embellished. In the next 8 weeks of pregnancy, their tiny little pad will be complete and ready for them.

The instance when the sperm meet the egg, then you and your partner each popped both of your 23 chromosomes to create this new human being, all of that was immediately cultivated out. Even though you won't know it for few months yet, the gender/sex of your baby, his or her hair and eye color, and even to some extent of his or her personality, has all already been decided. In the first trimester of pregnancy, you should be very careful of what you're eating, drinking, and even the medication you are using. Taking caffeine, OTC or over the counter drugs, Alcoholism, Smokers/ passive smokers, and not prescribed drugs, are considered high risks and are harmful for the growing baby. Placenta previa and pulmonary disease are the greatest chances caused in pregnancies with pregnant smokers. While babies can lead to speech problems, motor development disabilities and neural tube defect from alcohol use. At this point, you should start to add 300 caloric intake everyday to support your babies health and needs, this includes vegetables, low-fat dairy, fruits, and whole grains.
