15th week of pregnancy

Your baby now is almost big as an apple. At the 15th week, he will bend his elbows and start stretching his limbs. Now that  hes getting big, you might feel most of its movements. His bones continue to lengthen and grow. Even if he looks more like a baby by the moment his skin is still so thin and translucent that makes his veins visible. As the day passes by, your baby bump will really make you look pregnant. This week, you will experience more of the signs that your little one is starting to make an impression. As he grows your clothes must be feeling a bit tight on you, you loosing your grip, tripping a lot. These are just some of the many things you will experience as the week goes.

At the 15th week of your pregnancy, you may feel contractions, braxton hicks as what the experts would describe it. These are random contractions saying that your body is getting ready for the main event of child birth. Having more than five to six per hour of if they come at a very steady pace, consult your doctor as this will result to intense backaches or cramps. You will have less room for your food as your baby-to-be pushes your organs aside, you will have to eat more often because of the less room, it might not allow you to eat full meals. Continues heartburn, flatulence, and indigestion might still occur because of the tight tummy space. Don't worry cause your body will slowly adjust to it, you blood will flow faster to provide you body with enough nutrients causing you to take more bathroom breaks.

There are times that you tend to forget something, losing focus, often drops things and tripped over for nothing. This are  what other pregnant women call the “scatterbrain”. Although there are no proven scientific explanations to support the existence of this, or what causes it, but there might be some factors that might have changed your body that may account for your being clumsy. After all the years, your body is used to walk accordingly to your center of gravity, but as your baby bump grows, you might feel that your off balanced  most of the times. It is because your belly grows outward that it changes your center of gravity throwing you out of balance, now you know why you’re tripping.

You might also notice that you are retaining water. This is another reason why you lose your focus on things. You feelings might be different because you are retaining water. You tend to drop things because your fingers are swollen and makes it hard for you to grip on things or pick something up. A pregnancy hormone called relaxin makes your muscles, skin and joints loosen and stretch as your belly house your growing baby. Your muscles aren’t as tight as before during your pre-pregnancy days so keep it in mind that you will have to make an adjustment in your movements—relax!
